Grand Casino Helsinki (GCH) and RAY’s online poker site are the joint organisers of the Lightning Freezeout poker tournament, which will be held at the Casino in Helsinki on 20 August, 2011 at 3 pm.

There is no direct buy-in to the tournament. All seats will be filled via super satellites. Of the online and live GCH super satellites, a total of 70 players will qualify for the Lightning Freezeout tournament.

Super satellites will be held on summer weekends at Grand Casino Helsinki’s electronic Lightning Poker tables, and on weekdays at RAY’s online poker site. All of the satellites are freezeout tournaments. The prize pool of the Lightning Freezeout tournament will be at least 14,000 euros.

Lightning Freezeout satellites at Grand Casino Helsinki, 18 June - 14 August

Lightning Freezeout satellites will be held at the Casino’s Lightning Poker tables every Saturday and Sunday until 14 August according to the following time table:

Saturdays: at 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 pm
Sundays: at 2, 3, 4, and 5 pm

Buy-in 18 June - 7 August: 10 + 1 €
Buy-in 13 - 14 August: 20 + 1 €

Lightning Freezeout super satellites every Sunday from 19 June to 14 August, 2011

The weekend finals, or Lightning Freezeout super satellites, will be held on Sundays at 6 pm. Entry to the super satellites is only through the Saturday and Sunday qualifiers.
From each super satellite, two players will advance directly to the Lightning Freezeout tournament on 20 August, 2011. Please note: from the 14 August super satellite, four players will advance to the Lightning Freezeout.

1,000 euro Lighting Tournament at RAY Online Poker on 19 August, 2011

Top 10 placed will win a Lightning Card to the live Lightning Freezeout tournament on 20 August, 2011.

All 70 Lightning Tournament finalists will be invited to a free online Lightning Tournament at RAY Poker. The tournament is only open to Lightning Freezeout finalists.
The tournament has a prize pool of 1,000 €, but in addition, the top 10 players will also receive a Lightning Card. The Lightning Card can be used at any point during the live tournament final, but only once. With the Lightning Card, the player can ask advice from Juha Helppi, Finland’s all-time most successful live tournament player, at any point during the tournament.

The tournament tickets are sold only at the Casino. Please note that when purchasing poker tickets, no credit card payment is accepted.
