Arja Saijonmaa is an internationally recognised stage artist, who is perhaps less known in her native country. She has delighted audiences in cabaret performances and musical productions, and has performed a range of different musical styles, from Italian songs to French chansons, and Finnish soul to the rhythms of South America.

For the Casino, Arja Saijonmaa has chosen a compilation of her most requested and well-loved international hits, which evoke the nostalgia of the 1970s and 1980s. Fennia Salon will be filled with the sound of international evergreens such as Padam Padam and La vie en rose, as well as Arja songs seldom heard in Finland, such as Latin pieces and tangos.

Arja Saijonmaa has achieved international fame for her renditions of the music of Mikis Theodorakis, and Casino Helsinki's new "The Highlights Show" will feature the best of these exotic Zorbas tunes. Arja Saijonmaa has also collaborated as a singer and actress with the famous American choreographer Carolyn Carlson. Now Arja Saijonmaa will do her part for Finnish entertainment, when her unique programme will be seen and heard at Casino Helsinki.

Experience Elton John through the decades, from the party king of the seventies to today's suit-wearing gentleman. The show stars Pete Somer, best known as a member of the band The Giant Leap. He is one of the country's foremost musicians and performers and without a doubt one of Finland's most talented pianists. He has also experimented with theatre, so getting into the role of Elton John, and seeing the world through his glasses, Somer is sure to get Fennia Salon into full swing!

These two talented American performers have entertained audiences around the world with their high energy Tribute to the Blues Brothers. They bring to the stage the look, style, humour and most of all, great music of “Jake and Elwood Blues”. They bring crowds to their feet with songs like “Soul Man”, “Gimme Some Lovin’”, “I Need You”, “Flip, Flop and Fly”, “Shout” and the theme from the TV show “Rawhide”. Their showmanship and full throttle performance has made them a featured act in the award winning and popular show “Legends in Concert” for over 12 years. Tim Stamper and Kenny Barret have performed their act throughout the United States and Canada, as well as, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and Lisbon. Tribute to The Blues Brothers is their first performance in Finland.

The show highlights the versatility and transformation of 1950s music, from crooners to Marilyn Monroe, and doo-wop music to rock'n'roll. Well-known Finnish artists will take the audience on a trip through the world of 1950s music. Sami Pitkämö is known to audiences from a host of musical TV programmes as well as his work as a song contest judge. Annika Eklund has graced Finnish entertainment stages and recorded a host of popular albums over the years. Now this professional musical duo will take on the swinging sounds of the 50s.

The musical potpourri of Pitkämö and Eklund features the songs of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and country stars such as Johnny Cash and Patry Cline. The decade was also the golden era Marilyn Monroe, with big hits such as Diamonds are a girl's best friend and I wanna be loved by you receiving airtime on the radio and the silver screen. Now these evergreens will be heard on the Fennia Salon stage.

Legend's New Year's Eve show covers the very best, timeless classics of Bob Marley and The Wailers. The band's quintessential, million-selling hits are brought to the Casino's Show & Dinner stage in tribute to the king of reggae music. Irresistible reggae rhythms will compel you to move, and Michael Anton Philips and his band capture the essence of Bob Marley himself through their skillful and respectful homage.
