01.09.08 - The Hold'em Poker Finnish Championship has been settled!

The Omaha Finnish title and 35,700 € in award money was swept by Jani Vilmunen, who outdid more than a hundred tournament attendees. The second place, after nearly 15 hours of poker, was taken by Samuli Simula who took home 22,440 €. Jukka Parviainen came in third in the tournament with more than 100,000 € in total award money handed out.

The Texas Hold'em Finnish title was battled over for three days in the tournament worth 427,500 in award money. A bright spot of the competition was Giant Leap's Sebastian Rejman who surprised everyone by making his way through to the top 8 and final table. Finnish Championship was taken on Wednesday night, after a huge marathon game, by Toni Ojala. In addition to the title, Ojala won a hefty 136,800 € in award money. Aki Votkin came in second and Ahmed Nizam third.
