05.11.09 - Familiar outcome in Fennia Grand Slam!
This year's Fennia Grand Slam ended with a familiar outcome, with casino veteran Seppo Parkkinen taking the top prize. This was the second time that this Texas No Limit Freezeout tournament, with a record buy-in of 7000+300 €, was held, and the second time that Seppo Parkkinen walked away with the win.
At the beginning of the final table, Juha Lauttamus was in the chip lead, and Seppo was one of the shortest stacks at the table. However, Seppo proceeded to go from strength to strength, eliminating players one by one. It was left to Riku Mattila to eliminate third-placed Jens Kyllönen. The heads-up between Seppo and Riku ended a little before 1 am when Seppo went all-in with a straight, beating Riku's pairs.
